The parish of St. Cornelius' Episcopal Church was blessed to be chosen by our Presiding Bishop, the Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori, to receive an informal visit on Tuesday, June 19th, 2007. The Presiding Bishop also chose our rector, the Rev. B. Dennis Zimmerman, to accompany her on a three-day tour of the Diocese of Western Kansas. Presiding Bishop Schori dined informally with members of our parish at a buffet potluck supper on Tuesday evening, June 19th, at 6:00 o'clock P.M., and then chatted informally with our parish members and members of other Western Kansas Episcopal churches, beginning at 7:15 P.M. This was a unique opportunity to visit with our Presiding Bishop, who was elected to her current position as head of the Episcopal Church of the United States just one year ago.
