Whispers From Heaven
They say that life is fleeting
I know that this is true
I left this world so quickly
With no goodbye to you.
I know how much you miss me
Your tears fall ever light
The pillow where you lay your head
Is wet with them at night.
I know your heart is hurting
The words we left, unsaid
I love youís left unspoken
Are spinning in your head.
The strength that I have carried
That served to make you whole
Remains to make you stronger
Within your grieving soul.
For you see, while you were weeping
On the day I passed away
At the gravesite near the flowers
Where my loved ones knelt to pray.
An angel came to see me
She took me by the hand
She led me to a kingdom
In a very distant land.
As I look down from the heaven
And see you standing there
Your heart so ever burdened
With more weight than it can bear.
I long to bring you comfort
I long to give you peace
I long to hold you closely
Cause all your tears to cease.
The joy Iíve found in heaven
Goes far beyond compare
The love thatís so elusive
Can be found here everywhere.
The light is softly shining
Thereís no storm clouds here or rain
Thereís no teardrops found in heaven
Thereís no suffering, thereís no pain.
You neednít be so troubled
Stay close to God and pray
That someday weíll be together
One bright and glorious day.
So my love, you shouldnít question
My dear you need not cry
Iíve gone to be with Jesus
I really didnít die.

We'll Never Say Goodbye
I cannot see you with my eyes
Or hear you with my ears,
But thoughts of you are with me still
And often dry my tears.
You whisper in the rustling leaves
That linger in the fall,
And in the gentle evening breeze,
I'm sure I hear you call.
A part of you remains with me
That none can take away;
It gives me strength to carry on
At dawning of each day.
I think of happy times we shared
And then I softly sigh,
But this I know--we'll meet again
And never say good-bye.
(Dedicated to all our angels in Heaven)
The pearly gates were opened wide,
To let an angel come inside.
No more tears, no more pain,
Just sweet peace forever to reign.
You've done your work here on earth,
None but God knows your heavenly worth.
The Master's voice you did obey,
His praise you sang both night and day.
Though friends and family weep for you,
We understand our Heavenly Father needed you.
The time we shared was just a loan,
For now He's called you to your heavenly home.
Our hearts may be heavy and our tears may fall,
But We're not to question, for Christ knows all.
In a quiet country cemetery,
Where the gentle breezes blow,
Lies my son I love so dearly;
He died a few years ago.
His resting place I visit,
Placing flowers there with care,
But no one knows my heartache,
When I turn to leave them there.
Though his smile is gone forever,
And his hands I cannot touch,
Still I have so many memories
Of the son I loved so much.
His memory is my keepsake,
With which I will never part.
God has him in His keeping;
I have him in my heart.
I Am Not So Far Away
I am not so far from you,
Just a litte way beyond,
Past the cares and past the pain,
Far past my earthly bonds.
When you feel you miss me the most,
As the years go drifting by,
Each memory will prove to you,
That our love will never die.
For memories are but a touch
From the Father's gentle hand,
To heal your pain and mend your hearts,
To help you understand
That while I left you far too soon,
I did not leave alone,
For the Father sent His angels
To gently take me home.
Take comfort when you think of me,
Keep my love alive in your heart,
And with the warmth of each memory,
We will never be apart.

Time cannot steal the treasures
That we carry in our hearts,
Nor ever dim the shining thought
Our cherished past imparts...
And memories of the ones we've loved
Still cast their gentle glow,
To grace our days and light our paths,
Wherever we may go.
A Love Song
The mention of my child's name
May bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring
Music to my ears.
If you are really my friend,
Please don't keep me
From hearing the beautiful music.
It soothes my broken heart
And fills my soul with love.

Remember me on quiet days
When raindrops whisper on your pane;
But in your memories have not grief,
Let just the joy we knew remain.
Remember me when evening stars
Look down on you with steadfast eyes;
And when your thoughts do turn to me,
Know that I would not have you cry;
But live for me and laugh for me -
When you are happy, so am I.
Remember an old joke we shared;
Remember me when spring walks by;
Think of me when you are glad,
And while you live, I shall not die.
There is a residue of hope
In every act of grief,
A beauty at the source of pain,
A truth that brings relief.
Mourning is a morning song,
Sung just before the light,
Though little else is visible
To those who watch the night.
And all our tears must turn to grass,
And all our sorrows be
But dissonance that we'll resolve
In some new harmony.
Let Memories Surround You
Feel no guilt in laughter,
For they know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile
That they're not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever--
They would not want you to.
They'd hope that you would carry on
The way you always do.
So talk about the good times
And the ways you showed you cared,
The days you spent together,
All the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you;
A word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture
A time, an hour, a day,
That brings them back as clearly
As though they were still here,
And fills you with the feelings
That they are always near.
For if you keep those moments,
You will never be apart,
And they will live forever....
Locked safe within your heart.
The Everlasting Light
Those we love must someday pass
Beyond our present sight;
They must leave us and the world we know
Without their radiant light.
But we know that, like a candle,
Their lovely light will shine
To brighten up another place,
More perfect, more divine;
And in the realm of heaven
Where they shine so warm and bright,
Our loved ones live forever more
In God's eternal light.
