Christmas isn't Christmas
Without our Leo here;
It's hard to want to celebrate;
It's hard to find some cheer.
We try to do what others do;
We try to wear a smile,
But inside our hearts are breaking;
We're crying all the while.
Our family's not complete these days;
We miss our darling boy.
It's hard to think of what to say
When others wish us joy.
And yet our Leo's more than blessed;
He lives in heaven above;
He sings with all the angels there,
Encircled by God's love.
He gets to kneel at Jesus' throne;
He walks on streets of gold;
He never knows disease or pain;
He never will grow old.
And when we think of all these joys
He gets to feel and know,
Our hearts are lifted to the skies;
Our happy faces glow.
So, Merry Christmas, Leo, dear,
We wish you heaven's joy!
And someday soon we'll join you there,
Forever, precious boy.
