Dedicated to All Who Have Lost a Loved One

In the Bleak Midwinter

In the bleak midwinter
When all the world seemed dark,
Blackest night had fallen,
When suddenly...oh, Hark!

Angels filled the heavens
With their brilliant light
And their heavenly visage
Made the darkness bright.

They sang of Heaven's Glory;
They sang of Heaven's Love;
And with joy the earth responded
To the Light above.

That Light will live forever
Deep within our hearts;
Promise made from Heaven--
Love will ne'er depart.

And so we know our loved ones
Have only gone ahead,
They are just watching, waiting;
They truly are not dead.

And when our lives are finished,
All work on earth then done,
We'll join them in God's Heaven,
Because of Christ, His Son.

So, in the bleak midwinter,
Light the trees so bright,
Shining in the darkness,
Manifest God's Light.
